
A must-see in the Coëvrons, Saulges combines canyoning, cliffs and prehistory.
Wander through the greenery, where boxwood and juniper mingle, and set off in search of the Oratory of Saint Cénéré.
Continue your walk and take the opportunity to visit the Rochefort and Margot caves. The site of the Saulges caves count 22 prehistoric caves2 of which are open to the public. You're sure to be charmed by the prehistoric engravings and the bats!
For the more adventurous, explore the René Paul cave, on all fours or crawling underground. Potholing is accessible to children aged 4 and over, with tours lasting between 1 and 3 hours.
Of course, you can't leave the site without visiting the Prehistory Museum and discovering the Mayenne-Sciences cave in virtual reality!
Saulges is also a great place for beginners and experienced climbers, with 170 routes open to all (FFME label). From beginners to regular climbers, the Saulges canyon site is the ideal place to climb!
